Affordable home internet for job applications - first time posting

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. Employers call and email constantly. What did you switch to?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

I switched to a low-cost plan through my carrier and cut my bill by almost half.
