Affordable home internet for job applications - any advice?

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. Thank you in advance. Some applications need a computer. What did you switch to?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 3 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
