My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Ask your internet provider about their low-income plan. They rarely advertise it.

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.
