Affordable home internet for job applications

My home internet costs more than I can manage on unemployment. I am in Nashville, in case local advice matters. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 2 months ago, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

I switched to a low-cost plan through my carrier and cut my bill by almost half.
