Affordable home internet for job applications - 10 weeks in

I am worried about keeping my phone and internet on during my search. I am in Louisville, in case local advice matters. I heard of low-cost plans for people with limited income. Did you qualify for any programmes?

Libraries lend Wi-Fi hotspots in some towns. Mine lent one for three weeks.

I switched to a low-cost plan through my carrier and cut my bill by almost half.
