Worth paying for a certificate? (update)

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a forklift operator. It has been a long 12 weeks. I am unsure whether employers value it.

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
