Worth paying for a certificate?, office manager here

A local college offers a course that costs $150. It has been a long 22 weeks. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
