Worth paying for a certificate?, medical assistant here

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a medical assistant. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
