Worth paying for a certificate? (Knoxville)

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a quality inspector. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would like to use funding if possible. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
