Worth paying for a certificate?, HR coordinator here

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an HR coordinator. Any experience at all would help. I would like to use funding if possible. Which ones are overrated?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
