Worth paying for a certificate? - first time posting

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a pharmacy technician. It has been a long 14 weeks. I am unsure whether employers value it.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.

A hands-on course with a project helped more than a purely online one.
