Worth paying for a certificate? - first time posting

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a web developer. I would like to use funding if possible. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
