Worth paying for a certificate? - first time posting

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an operations analyst. It has been weighing on me all week. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
