Worth paying for a certificate? - first time posting

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an office manager. I worked as an office manager before this. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
