Worth paying for a certificate?, event coordinator here

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. There are 10 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would like to use funding if possible. Which ones are overrated?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
