Worth paying for a certificate? after 7 years as a payroll clerk

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a payroll clerk. I worked as a payroll clerk before this. I would like to use funding if possible. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
