Worth paying for a certificate? after 6 years as a project coordinator

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a project coordinator. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I am unsure whether employers value it. Is there free funding?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
