Worth paying for a certificate? after 11 years as a bookkeeper

Quinn Novak · 2026-07-19T17:19:09.000Z

A local college offers a course that costs $750. I worked as a bookkeeper before this. I can study evenings. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
