Worth paying for a certificate?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a hotel front-desk agent. I am in Cincinnati, in case local advice matters. I would like to use funding if possible. Which ones are overrated?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
