Worth paying for a certificate?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a procurement assistant. There are 4 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would like to use funding if possible. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 4 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
