Worth paying for a certificate? - 2 months and counting

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I can study evenings. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it got easier once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.
