Which short course helped you get hired? (update)

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a payroll clerk. There are 5 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am unsure whether employers value it.

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
