Which short course helped you get hired? (update)

I saw that many postings ask for a specific certification. I am in Cincinnati, in case local advice matters. I would like to use funding if possible. Is there free funding?

The workforce centre told me about training funds I qualified for. It covered most of my course.

A hands-on course with a project helped more than a purely online one.
