Which short course helped you get hired? - any advice?

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a welding apprentice. Any experience at all would help. I am unsure whether employers value it. Which ones are overrated?

Ask the course provider how many graduates get jobs and where. Honest providers can tell you.
