Which short course helped you get hired? after 8 years as a call-centre agent

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a call-centre agent. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
