Which short course helped you get hired? after 7 years as an administrative assistant

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as an administrative assistant. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

A hands-on course with a project helped more than a purely online one.
