Which short course helped you get hired? after 11 years as a welding apprentice

A local college offers a course that costs $150. There are 11 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would like to use funding if possible. Which ones are overrated?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
