Which short course helped you get hired? after 11 years as a welding apprentice

I am considering a short certificate to improve my chances as a welding apprentice. I am in Austin, in case local advice matters. I am unsure whether employers value it. Did a certificate help you get hired?

Check a dozen job postings first. If most ask for the same certificate, it is probably worth it.
