Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a pharmacy technician and I am unsure whether to accept. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
