Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I am in Chicago, in case local advice matters. The contract could extend. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
