Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 18 months as a recruiter and I am unsure whether to accept. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I have 10 months of savings left. What would you do?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
