Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 3 months as a recruiter and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as a recruiter before this. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
