Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 16 months as a school bus driver and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as a school bus driver before this. I have 4 months of savings left. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
