Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I worked as a home health aide before this. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
