Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 9 months as an office manager and I am unsure whether to accept. I have 10 months of savings left. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
