Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 10 months as an administrative assistant and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as an administrative assistant before this. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
