Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 9 months as a quality inspector and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 13 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
