Weighing a contract offer against waiting - what worked for you?

I got a contract offer for 4 months as an HR coordinator and I am unsure whether to accept. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.
