Weighing a contract offer against waiting (update)

I got a contract offer for 15 months as a nurse's aide and I am unsure whether to accept. I worked as a nurse's aide before this. The contract could extend. What would you do?

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it last year, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
