Weighing a contract offer against waiting (update)

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Thanks for writing this out. I went through something close to it 5 months ago, and it settled down once I kept a simple log of every call and form.
