Weighing a contract offer against waiting - first time posting

A permanent role may come up, but the contract starts now. There are 8 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It saved me later.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
