I got a contract offer for 9 months as a retail manager and I am unsure whether to accept. I would rather hear the honest version than the polite one. I have 13 months of savings left. How did you handle benefits?

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
