Weighing a contract offer against waiting - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 12 months as a payroll clerk and I am unsure whether to accept. Any experience at all would help. I would gain recent experience.

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
