Weighing a contract offer against waiting - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 4 months as a mechanic and I am unsure whether to accept. This is my first time dealing with any of this. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
