Weighing a contract offer against waiting - any advice?

I got a contract offer for 4 months as a forklift operator and I am unsure whether to accept. I have been trying to stay organised about it. I would gain recent experience. How did you handle benefits?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
