Weighing a contract offer against waiting after 8 years as a bookkeeper

The pay is fair but there are no benefits. I have read a lot of threads here and could not find my exact situation. The contract could extend. Did a contract become permanent?

I took a contract and it converted after four months. The time also kept my skills current.
