Weighing a contract offer against waiting after 5 years as an administrative assistant

I got a contract offer for 5 months as an administrative assistant and I am unsure whether to accept. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I would gain recent experience. Did a contract become permanent?

Ask about extension likelihood and whether the team has hired contractors before.
