Weighing a contract offer against waiting after 5 years as a copywriter

I got a contract offer for 5 months as a copywriter and I am unsure whether to accept. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

Keep everything in writing and save the confirmation numbers. It made the follow-up calls so much easier.
