Weighing a contract offer against waiting after 14 years as a medical assistant

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a medical assistant and I am unsure whether to accept. I do not usually post, so bear with me. I would gain recent experience.

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.
