Weighing a contract offer against waiting after 14 years as a customer-service rep

I got a contract offer for 14 months as a customer-service rep and I am unsure whether to accept. There are 14 people counting on me, so I am trying to be careful. I would gain recent experience. What would you do?

Buy coverage through the marketplace if the contract has none. I budgeted for it before signing.

If savings are low, I would accept and keep applying. You can leave for a permanent role if one appears.
